The following instructions detail activation and utilization of 2FA for Google.

Sign into your Google account.

Go to https://myaccount.google.com/intro/.

Select “Sign in” in the upper right-hand corner of the page.

Enter your Google e-mail address into the text field labeled “Email or phone” then select “NEXT”.

Enter the password to your Google account into the text field labeled “Enter your password” then select “NEXT”.

Go to https://myaccount.google.com/security/

OR

Select the 3×3 grid in the upper right-hand corner of the page then select “My Account” from the drop-down options

AND

Select “Sign-in & security” along the left-hand side of the page.

Scroll down and select “2-Step Verification” in the the section labeled “Password & sign-in method”.

Select “GET STARTED”.

Re-enter the password to your Google account into the text field labeled “Enter your password” then select “NEXT”.

Enter your telephone number into the text field and make sure your preferred method for verification (“Text message” or “Phone call”) is selected then select “NEXT”.

Enter the Google verification code into the text field labeled “Enter the code” then select “NEXT”.

The web page should display the following message:

Select “TURN ON”.

Note: An additional prompt for the Google verification code will follow the standard prompt for the e-mail address and password for future sign-ins to Google.
